They seem to be working really hard on their music these days
On World Music Day, The Bitch witnessed a live performance by India‘s first boy band - A Band of Boys at the Oberoi Mall in Mumbai. The boy band comprising of singers Sherrin Varghese, Karan Oberoi, Chin2 Bhosle and Siddharth Haldipur sang their new single, Ghantaa( supposed to be a funny name, huh?) apart from their other popular numbers. Also performing at the event were Hard Kaur (decently dressed for a change) and Sukhvinder. But must say, the BOB definitely got a better response to their numbers as compared to the other two.
The boy band unanimously feels that their new single has the ability to grow on you with a single listen. They told The Bitch that the song though packed with insane lyrics has got addictive music and touches the irreverent side of life that will identify with one and all and carries a message. But The Bitch feels that though the song incorporates the contemporary college lingo that may be wild, tongue-in-cheek, it tries too hard to be super cool which it need not!
Agreed the video emphasizes the ‘fun‘ aspect of the song and adds to the irreverence and light-hearted humour of the band. But it is high time the boy band tried something really innovative. Their last work was not as big a success as their first album. They have stood by each other for six years (barring Sudhanshu Pandey who opted out to give preference to his acting career and is still struggling with it), complementing each other‘s work transforming from boys to men. But a slight change of style and video presentation would really impress The Bitch!
Karan Oberoi, the dishiest dude and Mr. Romantic from the BOB however differs and states, "Our album this time is definitely as rocking as ever!" Oh really! They have learnt the art of blowing one‘s own trumpet well!
Their new video has been produced by Karan‘s production company Artistic Unlimited. The Graviera Mr. India finalist further states that he has plans to launch a new TV serial for Zee too under his production house. The further details weren‘t divulged by Karan though!
Umm... if this latest album fails to take off, then he might very well get back to acting in serials and slog hard for films as well, along with his band mates.
After all, they do have an (non) acting experience what with a great film like ‘Kiss Kis Ko‘!
