Shweta Tiwari's big return on soap needs more suds
The Bitch thought it would be a different show ,since getting our favorite ‘Prerna ‘ of KZK (Shweta Tiwari) back on the idiot box looked too herculean a task. But that wasn‘t meant to be.
We thought the show would set it apart from the rest of the brainless and mind numbing saas, bahus, dulhan, bhabhis ,devranis and what have you.
But ‘Jaane Kya Baat Hui‘ sees Shweta (Aaradhna)playing a submissive domestic cow who only lives to cook parathas for the family. How innovative! All through the day she folds clothes, cleans the huge mansion the family lives in and rubs Iodex on her husband‘s back when he returns from work.
While the patni is performing her dharm , the patidev is too busy banging his secy in the office and tells his wife ‘I‘m in a meeting‘ each time she calls him.
The mansion like house doesn‘t have a single servant, so Aaradhna steps into the role of one , cooking everyone‘s favorite dishes in practically no time. Some competition for Sanjeev Kapoor, The Bitch must admit.
Veteran actress Suhasini Mulay (who plays Aaradhna‘s mum in law) must have been drunk when she signed the show . Ever since the show took off, she‘s been knitting a sweater the size of which refuses to grow even by an inch. And we will not mention the father in law. Do they have a scope on a canvas eclipsed by good women, bad women and more women.
But The Bitch has to confess that the show has a hatke negative force. We‘ll pardon her the vamp tag because she‘s more human than most of the family members who only swear by Aaradhna‘s kartavya and of course, her parathas. And surprise surprise ! She doesn‘t wear loud make up, no backless/sleeveless blouses and no colored lenses! Yippyyyy! Now how was that achieved? The Bitch is stumped.
We also hear that later in the story, Aaradhna too turns adulterous. The Bitch won‘t believe this one. Will rather wait and watch. Sounds good?

So much for the perpetual saga of sobby Indian Bahu!
Well, I was expecting the soap to be something like Nina Gupta‘s Saans...it was such a mature attempt to show extra marital affairs and how ppl live with that.
But here in JKBH wht we have is again a teary eyed Shweta who is being treated like a doormat and being the all round perfect Bahu. So much for tarnishing the Indian Bahu image. Are Indian women really so submissive? arent they supposed to be career oriented and care two hoots about being miss goody two shoes?
Why cant these ppl just grow up and show how the alpha women is.... | ss
