The Fashion Bitch is caught between contrasting fashions
Hello sugars.
I‘ve just woken up and my boy friend made me some lovely tea. I‘m still unwell na and last night was a late night. But then all my nights are late nights.
Bless me!
Hehe!
Chalo, let‘s get down to business.
I started my day by brunching at the Saks Club and ran into some old friends. Ex-model but still so stunning Anna Bredemeyer was there, looking laidback in a white kurti. It‘s true that style is ageless for some people.
She looked real good. Then there was my good friend Monica Vazerali, who I feel overdoes the colour white with abundance of jewellery. But she still does manage to look better than so many of these young tarts.
Take for example Nina Manuel. She looked okay, but I don‘t fancy torn jeans anymore. They are so passe, it‘s not even funny. And on top of that you wear a really dressy top and then again wear plain chappals.
I didn‘t get this outfit too much.
Anyway, after that, I wanted to soak in some culture, so I went to watch Mandira Bedi in her play ‘Something About Love‘ at St Andrews. I don‘t want to comment on her acting skills, but dressing skills she has none.
Frankly she looks best in a sari too. This t-shirt jeans thing doesn‘t work for her too well. I also caught model Shamita Singha there. And I wish I hadn‘t because she was wearing a really horrible print dress with a pink clutch that I couldn‘t stand.
So boring!!!!
Since I was in Bandra I headed to club 9 where Big B was felicitating Madhur Bhandarkar at a party hosted by Ashish Shelar for winning the National Award. Gawd, his shoes were black embossed with B and with a crown over them. Someone sure has a huge ego and a high opinion about themselves.
Hmmmmmmm...and I thought that the media made up all this crap. But when I looked at his shoes, I was like wow!!
Sonali Bendre looked pretty in pink, whereas Mugdha Godse should have picked her shoes with the light on. She was wearing a black and white ensemble with red shoes. Now I know white and black goes with red, but somehow Mugdha had not managed to pick the right red. Tch tch. There was Konkona with Ranvir, and both of them looked old, married and boring. Kya karein?
I then moved on to a place where I saw two fashion disasters that I have to tell you about. It was the ‘Rani Of Jhansi‘ party in which actress Meera is starring.
She looked so dowdy in a black kurta with loose pyjamas outfit. What was she thinking when she wore this? And then there was some skank sitting in a chair in a dress that could only be stitched at home, with her boobs popping out.
