Sonu Nigam started off his singing career as legendary singer Mohammed Rafi‘s clone 16 years back singing his cover version for T-Series.
Now he has come full circle with the release of his latest album, ‘Rafi Resurrected‘ which he claims as his dedication to the great singer!
The Bitch: A photoshoot for OK! Magazine, new styling, frantic attempt to star in a film as a lead and now a new album, Sonu you seem too desperate to reinvent yourself!
Sonu Nigam: I don‘t think I need to do that! I have already achieved a distinctive position for myself. I don‘t need to prove myself to anybody again and again. I didn‘t go to the magazine people. They approached me and I took it up as a challenge!
The Bitch: Now you are contradicting yourself Sonu!
The Bitch: This new album, ‘Rafi Resurrected‘ has come late in India. I suspect you did this to match it with the telecast of your ‘An Evening in London‘ with Rafi concert on SONY TV on coming Saturday.
Sonu Nigam: It wasn‘t my decision. ‘Sa Re Ga Ma‘ had planned its marketing and release strategy. They brought it out in the US first followed by Europe and now in India. I am not new to Television. I don‘t need any such special publicity!
The Bitch: Look who is talking! Yawn!!
The Bitch: You are supposed to start your new film as a lead hero. What‘s the update on that?
Sonu Nigam: I am getting a new offer every week for sometime now. I am getting to read some really amazing scripts. I have kept that earlier project on hold for some moment now and choosing out from these new scripts that have been offered to me. I don‘t want to repeat any past mistakes when it comes to my acting career now.
The Bitch: You want The Bitch to believe you? You are trying too hard to sound like Aamir Khan, dear Sonu!
The Bitch: Sunidhi Chauhan too lately has been trying to enter Bollywood as a heroine. Any plans to start a project starting both of you together?
Sonu Nigam: (Laughs out loud) Not a bad idea! Thanks for suggesting it!
The Bitch: You are (not) welcome Sonu!!
The Bitch: You tried to use your clout to get a platform for your father Agam Kumar Nigam and sister Neekita. But they haven‘t managed to make any mark as singers yet!
Sonu Nigam: For your kind information T-Series is coming out with its 4th album with my dad very soon. If he wasn‘t a saleable name they wouldn‘t have approached him for a 4th album. My sister Neekita has been getting some good offers lately with some of the top music directors today. You will soon hear her sing regularly in films.
The Bitch: Don‘t try to make me believe that you had nothing to do with this!
The Bitch: The new season of ‘Indian Idol‘ begins tomorrow. Don‘t you miss being a part of it?
Sonu Nigam: I don‘t think so I would miss it. I may make an appearance as a guest judge. See ‘Indian Idol‘ was just a step up for me from hosting ‘Sa Re Ga Ma‘. Plus, I really don‘t have so much time on my hands now to give for television.
The Bitch: Grapes are really sour Sonu!!
The Bitch: You are singing very less songs nowadays. Wy is that? Are the music directors irritated by your attitude problem?
Sonu Nigam: I have become very choosy now. Out of the 10 songs offered I only pick that one which will satisfy my creative instincts. Money is also an important factor. I wouldn‘t like to be paid less after reaching this stage in my career. Those who can afford me and give me a challenging song to sing, I am anytime available for them!
The Bitch: Beggars aren‘t choosers Sonu!

Sonu Is The Best
I like to read ur articles n ur takes on it. it is amazing how u bitches manage to get so creative stuff every day...but this time it is sad. sonu is undoubtedly the best singer in the country these days and he shud b proud of it coz he has earned it by sheer hard work. he is no star son and we shud learn this from him rather than makin fun out of him.
I m sorry but i dont appritiate this article of urs.
