The controversial 'Bigg Boss' is back! | 2008-08-07
Even more bitching and ugliness is expected this time around!
Most of the so called unique shows are replicas of successful shows from abroad. All the famous shows ‘Indian Idol‘, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati‘, ‘Kya Aap Paanchi Paas Se Tez Hain‘ have been mere rip offs from foreign shows.
Innovation is certainly not one of their traits!
Obviously, ‘Bigg Boss‘ is no exception to this rule and is also a copy of the famous British show ‘Big Brother‘.
Incidentally, ‘Big Brother‘ too has been subject to a lot of controversies and racial issues. Our dear own Shilpa Shetty turned out to be the winner of a very much talked about season of the show.
No wonder the makers have roped her to host the second season of ‘Bigg Boss‘. The show will be aired on the new channel ‘Colors‘ and will feature a lot of newsmakers instead of celebrities.
It‘s interesting to note that shows which were aired on Sony earlier have gone to Colors. First ‘Fear Factor‘ and now this! These people seem to be serious about the cut throat channel competition!
Now these so called newsmakers will surely be the ones who have created loads of negative not positive news and are likely to do the same in the future!
Considering that gruesome drama, backbiting and a lot of bitching is the USP of the show, these controversial people fit the bill perfectly.
‘Big Boss‘ is a show where 14 people are locked up in a house for 12 weeks and every week people are eliminated.
The last person to survive will win a cash prize of 75 lakhs.
This time around the show will have new features like half hour of unedited LIVE footage.
Umm...things are surely out to get totally ugly!
It‘s said that the makers have approached all the controversial newsmakers possible. Aamir Khan‘s good for nothing brother Faisal Khan is said to be a part of the show.
There were loads of talks about Aamir claiming that he‘s mentally unstable and keeping him under lock and key. Now this guy has recently won the court case against Aamir and would be really raring to take a dig at brother dearest on national television.
Now,that would really be fun to watch!
It has also been reported that Raja Choudhary, actress Shweta Tiwari‘s troublesome and pesky husband, the ‘doped dramebaaz‘ Jhanvi- the girl who tried to kill herself during the Ash-Abhishek wedding, limelight loving Congress spokesperson Sanjay Nirupam, , sleazy starlet Sambhavna Seth and TV big mouth Ketki Dave of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi‘ fame have all been approached for the show.
Phew...extraordinary people, must say!
