Twenty Rajinikanths at a theatre near you |  2008-07-02

It's chaos and commotion down South!

If you couldn‘t fathom why Kamal Hassan played ten different roles in a movie, superstar Rajinikanth takes it a step higher and much closer to insanity.

This veteran actor is actually going to play twenty different roles in his upcoming Tamil flick ‘Kuselan‘.

The motive behind the movie though, is still pretty questionable.

Especially, since his counterpart Kamal Hassan has just emulated ten different roles in his recent movie ‘Dasavatharam‘.

Obviously, our superstar couldn‘t have been left behind and so he decided to double the number of roles Kamal played.

How smart is that?

The film is directed by P.Vasu and will have Rajinikanth romancing Khushboo, Trisha, Nayantara, Sneha, Mamata Mohandas and other actresses in a special song, designed specially for him.

These guys seem to be going the ‘Om Shanti Om‘ way. Considering that the song was the only entertaining part of the movie, it‘s not a bad move at all!

It‘s said that many top directors and actors have also been approached to make guest appearances in the film.

This one looks like a perfect Rajinikanth kind of movie with drama, action, comedy, songs, dance and every other ingredient required for a desi masala flick.

The movie‘s audio album was released recently in Chennai and Rajinikanth praising his movies said, "I‘m sure that the movie will be a hit and even I love the concept and idea of the movie personally."

As if concept and idea are a requirement in his kind of movies!

Daler Mehendi has sung a song for this movie and the song is called as ‘Oyam Zaarare‘. This will be the first time that he has sung for a Tamil movie.

Udit Narayan seems to be inspiring quite a few singers to work down South too.

After all, he‘s virtually made a living out of singing in South Indian movies.

The movie will have many Bollywood big singers like Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Sujata, Chitra, Sadhna Sargam, Shreya Ghosal, Kailash Kher and Prasanna.V.V.

Rajinikanth speaking more about the movie in Chennai said, "The character Ashok Raj will be a turning point in my career. I have always been overwhelmed by the response I get from my audience. I have portrayed nearly 20 different characters for a song in this film and I am very excited about the movie".

Considering that he is almost 60, The Bitch really wonders if there any scope left for a turning point in his career!
